How to Become a Certified Producer
1. Prove your Manhattan residency.
2. Attend an Orientation Workshop.
3. Take classes to become certified in the equipment and/or facilities you want to use.
4. Attend a Producer's Workshop.
5. Film, edit, and submit your program for air.
What does it mean to be certified?
Our certification process serves two purposes: to give you the training you need to produce great TV, and to assure us you'll treat our equipment well (though we're sure you will anyway.)
You'll start out at Orientation, where you'll get acquainted with MNN and meet fellow producers. Then sign up for the class(es) you'll need to make your program, with the option to continue with a Studio, Express Studio, or Field track.
After successfully completing your first workshop, you'll attend the Producer's Workshop to discuss ideas for programming and learn about reserving equipment. Certified producers then use their training to produce shows for MNN. Stay active, take more classes, and produce more programming!
