Do you provide classes in languages other than English?
A:

We currently offer coursework in English and Spanish.

Q:
How long are the training sessions?
A:

The length of the training session varies depending on the type of training. We typically conduct training sessions once a week, three hours per session. Generally speaking, Three Camera Studio training involves five to seven sessions; Express Studio training, three sessions; Camera Training, three to five sessions; and Editing training, three to four sessions.

How many members of my organization can get trained?
A:

The Community Outreach and Media Department trains organizations with four or more people. Community groups with less than four people can be trained by our Access Services Department. Please contact them at (212) 757-2670 x312 for more information.

How does my organization apply for your services and training?
A:

Contact the COM Department to request a training. After we receive your initial inquiry, we will send you an application to fill out and return to us. Once your application is received, we will review it and, pending approval, will contact you to set up a consultation meeting to determine which trainings and services would be most beneficial to your organization.

Is my organization eligible to receive services from the Community Outreach & Media Dept (COM)?
A:

Is your organization an accredited non-profit or community-based organization that is based in New York, NY? If so, then you are eligible to receive our COM services.
