Coming Up on The Youth Channel: A Different Point of View

The weekend is almost here and you can bet that NYC youth are looking forward to a long weekend so they can rest, relax and regroup. Luckily when the weekend is over, there’s still something to look forward to: Youth Channel programming on MNN!  

Next week on the Youth Channel, you can catch programming that will help you look at life from a different point of view. Learn tips for managing your money on NightCap, hear about students managing athletics and academics on State of Mind, watch a documentary about the people of El Barrio and get lost in the fictional world of American High School Film Festival short film “I am not a Dummy.”

The Youth Channel airs programming every weeknight from 6-7pm on MNN 4 (FiOS 36, RCN 85, TWC 67 & 1998).

NightCap: Mind Your Money

You are never too young to mind your money so on NIGHTCAP episode 8, guest Tischelle George, gives some practical advice to teens and young adults about how to manage their money, open a bank account, create and stick to a spending plan, and build and use credit.

Tischelle is the founder of Mind Your Money that provides finance workshops in schools and libraries throughout New York. We end the show with songstress Lea Anderson who you might have seen performing on the train.
