New Season on MNN's Youth Channel

Don't miss out on MNN's new season of the Youth Channel The YC producers have been hard at work creating new programs at the MNN El Barrio Firehouse. The new season includes a special on the recent Stop and Frisk Protest Rally, interviews with Harlem artists, and lots more.
To catch the new season, tune in to the MNN1 Community Channel (TWC 34, RCN 82, FiOS 33) Monday through Friday from 4pm to 5pm and from 5pm to 6pm on MNN4 Culture Channel (TWC 67, RCN 85, FiOS 36).

Out of more than 1,000 entries MNN is proud to announce 3 winners in this year's Hometown Media Awards:
Kristal Hart for The Kristal Hart Show takes home 2 awards (Government Activities and Sports Entertainment). The show airs every Tuesday at 9PM on MNN2.
Gloria Messer for Access for All (Cultural Perspective). The program airs every other Tuesday at 9:30PM on MNN1.
Chris Gethard for The Chris Gethard Show (Entertainment/Variety). Watch every Wednesday at 11pm on MNN4.

The Chris Gethard Show One Year Anniversary on MNN

When Manhattan resident Chris Gethard walked in to the MNN Programming office with our Master Control Operator Keith Bethea, he seemed shy, nervous, and to be honest a little nerdy. So imagine my surprise when these two guys said Chris needed a one hour time slot on one of MNN's busiest nights just because he was funny.
To my surprise and their luck we found a very small window of opportunity to schedule them on Wednesday nights. The rest is MNN history.
Since then The Chris Gethard Show (TCGS) and Manhattan Neighborhood Network have been written up in countless articles and mentioned on prime time national television shows, driving traffic to our website and creating a national buzz about the unique programming on MNN.
This week TCGS is celebrating their one year anniversary with all the danger, awkwardness, music and of course laughs they have to offer.

Rep. Rangel and Challengers to Debate Live on MNN

The League of Women Voters of the City of New York (LWVNYC) and Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) are teaming up to broadcast a debate for the newly drawn 13th Congressional District, a seat currently held by Rep. Charles Rangel.
Five candidates are running for the Democratic nomination. The winner will be on the ballot in the November 6th General Election.
The 60 minute debate will air live at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11th on MNN1 (TWC 34, FiOS 33, RCN 82) and be available for real-time streaming on the MNN website at www.mnn.org.
The debate will alse be aired repeatedly before the June 26th Primary and be available on the LWVNYC website after June 11th.
