Screening: Sir! No Sir!

Screenings of films from The War Resister's League's 2007 Peace Calendar begin with this acclaimed account of GI opposition to the Vietnam War. The series opens on Saturday evening, December 2, at 7:00 and 9:30 pm and continues on Friday evenings in January and Friday, February 16. Films to be announced. Screenings will be followed by discussions with filmmakers and participants in the films.

Sir! No Sir! brings to life the history of the GI movement through the stories of those who were part of it, reveals the explosion of defiance that the movement gave birth to with never-before-seen archival material, explores the profound impact that movement had on the military and the war itself and also tells the story of how and why the GI Movement has been erased from the public memory.

Two screenings: 7:00pm, 9:30pm

Fee: $10, $7 students and seniors

Location: Brecht Forum, 451 West St. aka West Side Highway (btwn Bank and Bethune Sts), Manhattan
