When making promos: always include your title, timeslot and channel info so viewers know where to find you! When making promos: always include your title, timeslot and channel info so viewers know where to find you! [1]
MNN invites producers to submit promos for their shows. This is your chance to inform viewers about your amazing show and get them to watch it! Promos are scheduled to air in the 2-minute interval between programs, and they will be scheduled at random. Check out some of our favorites in MNN's Video Archive [1].

If you have any questions about these policies, please contact Jennifer Wager in the Scheduling Department at jennifer@mnn.org or 212-757-2670 x307.

GUIDELINES FOR PRODUCER’S PROMOTIONS
In order for MNN to air a Producer’s Promo, it must meet the following guidelines:

• Promos should be 30 seconds to ensure they air as often as possible.

• Promos must mention or show the program’s name, airtime, and channel on both Time Warner and RCN. Please note that RCN now broadcasts on 82, 83, 84, and 85.

• Promos must be recorded onto Mini-DV (in SP mode), VHS, or SVHS formats. Mini-DV format is preferred because the quality is better, and will entice more people to watch your show!

• Make sure to have 60 seconds of black before and after your promo.

• The promo must promote the producer’s show only. It must not promote MNN in general (we already have promos for that.)

• The Promo can only mention public access channels; it cannot tell viewers to watch a producer’s show on Channel 35, or any other non-public access medium.

• The Promo cannot direct viewers away from other MNN programs or channels.

• Unlawful use of copyrighted material is not allowed.

• A producer can turn in 1 promo per quarter. (Producers who have a promo announcing that they have been moved to another time will still be able to hand an additional promo.)

• If your promo contains adult content, it will air after 11:00pm. However, promos may not contain obscene content [1], as described in the Programming Policies.)

• Promos may not contain any website or other contact information (other than www.mnn.org)

• Promos and PSAs must follow all MNN Programming Policies [1].)
