Discussion: "Social Movements in Latin America: From Below and to the Left"

From Oaxaca to Southern Colombia, and Bolivia to Venezuela, this roundtable discussion will survey some of the most militant social movements and uprisings in Latin America as well as the relations of these movements to their respective governments. The event will include a short film screening presented by a member of the Communication Threads of the Indigenous Councils of Northern Cauca (ACIN) Colombia and readings from the newly released book "Dispatches from Latin America: On the Frontlines Against Neoliberalism."
