Administrative Assistant

MNN is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the organization’s executive leadership with administrative and office services. This includes support around daily activities, handling information requests, conducting research and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, filing, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings as well as working with MNN departments to facilitate the efficient operations of the organization.

General Office Coordination:

  • Provide administrative support to the Director and maintain administrative files. 
  • Keep office calendar to coordinate work flow, meetings and events 
  • Assist with Director’s schedule and handle meeting preparations and logistics. 
  • Answer and screen Director’s telephone calls and respond to requests. 
  • Prepare reports, memos, letters and other correspondence. 
  • Perform receptionist duties when needed.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma 
  • A minimum of three years experience with office administrative management. 
  • Demonstrated computer skills including knowledge of the latest versions of Microsoft Office, mail merges, and email. 
  • Working knowledge of social media tools and sites such as Facebook and Twitter, and familiarity with databases and/or website content management systems.

  • Capacity to work as part of a team and independently. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments. 
  • Strong writing, analytical, and problem solving skills 
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, speaking and presentation. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone. 
  • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials and communications.

Compensation:
