Manhattan Neighborhood Network's Youth Media Center

Established in March 2000, Manhattan Neighborhood Network's Youth Media Center (YMC) develops 21st Century communicators and participants in social justice.
 
The Youth Media Center offers Manhattan residents ages 16 to 24 free video production training, digital journalism internships and the opportunity to produce social justice focused media on important youth issues for MNN's award-winning Youth Channel, which airs weeknights from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on MNN4: TWC 67, RCN 85, FiOS 36, and streaming live on MNN.org.
 

MNN's Youth Media Center is housed at the MNN El Barrio Firehouse Community Media Center.

MNN's Youth Media Center offers a variety of classes and workshops for aspiring media makers to produce critical content in a rapidly changing media landscape.
The Youth Channel is looking for journalists and media makers ages 18-24 who are passionate about reporting on community news to join our digital journalism team.
The YMC partners with the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).

The Youth Channel presents Ramen + Politix, Part III—a random joining of hot noodles and fiery discussion to talk about whatever political issues are on your mind. If you’re 14-21, join us for dinner and debate as we take on political questions that matter to you.
If you're 14-21 years old, a Ramen Noodle fan, and love to debate, you're in for a good time. Come to the Firehouse Thursday, March 19th at 4:30 pm for a friendly debate on political issues that impact all of us.
MNN’s Youth Channel wants to hear from undocumented youth and is looking for stories, performances, or direct messages to appear in an upcoming documentary.
